Renewable generation changes throughout the day. Traders need current inputs that account for production forecasts, asset constraints and trades already executed.
For EP Commodities, we developed a service that calculates trading positions for renewable assets. It prepares inputs for day-ahead trading and updates them for intraday trading. Results feed into downstream trading, planning and reporting systems.

The service has been in production since 2022. It automates recurring calculations and retains their inputs, so each position can be traced back to its source data. We add functions and integrations as the portfolio grows.
02 / Battery storage scheduling
A battery’s charging and discharging schedule must account for trading commitments and the storage unit’s technical limits. It changes with the battery’s current state and market conditions.
For EP Commodities, we developed a service that manages battery storage schedules. It connects optimisation, trading results and battery control. It checks schedules against operating limits and allows dispatchers to make manual adjustments with a record of each change.

The service has been in production since 2023. It recalculates schedules throughout the day and raises alerts when they conflict with operating limits. Dispatchers can access the current plan and intervention history.

Alongside these two services, we work on reporting, market data processing, ancillary-service auctions and trading application integration. We also help modernise the original systems.
Since 2022, the collaboration has covered architecture design, development and code reviews.
