Transforming the architecture of key systems for the cloud
Challenge
Key systems were designed for a classic data centre. O2 wanted to prepare both the architecture and the delivery process for the cloud and container platforms without jeopardising operations.
Delivery
Together with O2’s teams we are transforming the architecture of key systems for the cloud, setting up new DevOps practices in line with “cloud first” development principles and adapting the architecture and deployment cycle of applications for Kubernetes. Infrastructure automation (infrastructure as code) and selecting cloud services with regard to the economic efficiency of the final solution are integral parts.
Outcome
Applications ready for container operation, repeatable deployment and an internal team that uses the new practices on its own. A long-term collaboration.
